Die Akker Fondasies
Why is it important to know what you will find in Die Akker church?
In Eph 5:16 (NKJVS) it tells us that we must redeem the time, because the days are evil.
If we must redeem the time because of evil we must ask ourselves: “How can we redeem the time?”
We at Die Akker believe the Lord ordained the church to be the answer against all evil. Being part of Die Akker church will make you part of God’s great plan how WE can:
- redeem the time, and
- stand against evilso that we together with Jesus, can make His bride ready for that great and awesome day Jesus comes back. This foundation manual will look at:
What do Die Akker believe about church? The governing of the church.
Our Father in heaven sent His Son to reconcile us (me and you) with Him, to give us: Internal life
John 17:3 (NKJV Strong’s Bible) 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
- salvation through Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our salvation; and
- faith to all who obey Him (Heb 5:9 & 12:2), so that we can be whole, having a life and a life inabundance. This deed of love is so amazing, let us therefore cry out for knowledge and wisdom to understand what it means for you and me.This manual will look at what we, at Die Akker, believe about salvation looking at:
How do I become a child of God? How do I get saved? and
SalvationourGodexperience.
Money is personified by Jesus in: Mat 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. Money is so much a part of who we are that a quick look at where someone spends the money they have earned will show what is important to them and where their priorities lie. So if money makes up a big part of our lives it is important to know what God says about money so we can synchronise our hearts with his and live in obedience to his word.
Entering into the kingdom of God we lay down our body in our baptism and rise in the Spirit of Christ Jesus as is written in:
Rom 6: (NKJVS) 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
and
Rom 8: (NKJVS) 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
This foundation manual of Die Akker church will help you to take the mysticism out of your NEW spiritual world looking at:
Our makeup in spirit, soul and body and Wholesome lifestyle
Know that as a child of God, God gave you authority over every unclean spirit! (Eph 1:18 – 23)
As we grow and mature in our faith in Jesus Christ there are many areas of our lives which must adjust and change. The early believers did this as we read in Acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
We all want to go on to maturity, but what are the basics we need to get hold of first? Hebrews 6:1-2 describes these elementary teachings in the following way, “Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.”
The material in this foundation course has been assembled to help do just this. All the “elementary teachings” found in the text quoted above are covered in some detail. These notes are intended as a further resource to those attending the Foundations course at Die Akker. It frees them to focus more on the impartation of the course and it supplements what they are not able to write down. Also, if a speaker is handling the topic differently, the manual will provide a complementary perspective.
At the end of each Chapter is a chain of Scripture references which will give a quick reference as you study further and share your faith with others.
This manual is further intended to be a resource to Christians and churches elsewhere, and is made available to be copied and distributed as widely as possible. It must be stressed, however, that this manual is just a sample taken at the present time: the course (choice of subjects, content of each talk, and speakers) is constantly changing.
We hope that this course and this manual will be a blessing to you and will contribute, however humbly, to the extension of God’s kingdom.
